Job Description:
The Transformation, Enablement, and Customer Experience (TECE) Governance & Control (G&C) Team is hiring a Senior Governance & Control Analyst whose accountabilities include ensuring effective execution of the enterprise 1B Standard for the Strategy, Change and Operational Excellence (SCOE) function. In this role, the successful candidate will engage with SCOE businesses and work collaboratively with TECE G&C colleagues to provide effective oversight and independent challenge to multiple SCOE functions.
SCOE is responsible for the creation of strategy for the TECE segment and is also comprised of several Bank-wide Centres of Excellence that provide critical support to enterprise projects, including Change Management, Enterprise Process & Automation, Enterprise Business and Process Architecture, and Front-to-Back Operational Excellence.

- Drive a strong governance and internal control environment and perform effective challenge by executing on enterprise control and governance frameworks, including (but not limited to) ORM standards, regulatory compliance policies and standards, privacy policies, and business managed technology standards (as applicable), etc., as well as ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Support in recognizing and anticipating emerging trends, identifying issues/opportunities (and support implementation of action/remediation plans), and recommended actions to applicable management, following appropriate escalation processes are followed
- Support initiatives to identify and assess risks and control, develop strategies to remediate gaps identified, and implement processes to effectively manage and mitigate risk
- Supporting the identification of process and controls and providing expertise, understanding, and recommendations on business and operational processes
- Challenge and complete risk assessments (e.g., CRA, PIA, etc.) and engage stakeholders, other 1B functions and Risk & Control Partners as required
- Foster relationships with corporate and control functions, such as Internal Audit, ORM, Compliance, Enterprise Protect, etc.
- Demonstrating thought leadership by providing recommendations to help inform decision making
- Support work to assess horizontal coverage of supported businesses
Department Overview:
TECE G&C is a first line of defense (1B) function and is accountable for:
- Risk Culture - Fostering an effective, transparent culture of risk awareness; evaluating business strategy and activities against risk appetite; and providing management and stakeholders with sufficient and timely insight to enable effective oversight.
- Risk & Control Activities - Ensuring that TECE businesses adequately identify, assess, and develop risk mitigation strategies to manage current and emerging risk exposures across all risk categories; supporting the design, implementation, and sustainment of controls within key processes and procedures; and ensuring effective control testing and monitoring, documentation of results, and tracking execution of action plans to resolution.
- Governance, Issues Management & Reporting - Advising on and facilitating discussions with management and stakeholders on relevant internal and external considerations; collaborating with the business to maintain processes to expediently resolve incidents; identifying and tracking issues to remediation; and developing processes to create timely reporting to inform on areas of increasing risk and enable proactive, data-driven, risk-based decision making.

Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience
- Industry and business knowledge in Operational Risk and Regulatory Compliance (including AML), and general understanding of other major risk categories
- Knowledge of project methodology at TD including TD Scaled Agile methodology
- Self-starter and quick learner with sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent team player with demonstrated collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
