This role requires working in our Downtown Toronto Office twice a week with no exception.
• Provides production and end-user support and governance for the risk technical platform and system environment that supports risk data & control structures (e.g., process controls, user access controls, data integrity controls) to enable risk processes and operations. Supports and oversees the planning, maintenance and change management for risk system strategies, process changes, system parameter changes, production schedules, and operational tasks. Oversees the management of system parameter changes. Works with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide solutions that ensure service delivery and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with T&O and Data services in the creation and delivery of Basel Capital Stream file extract (BCS) to downstream users.
• Provide on-going support of reports to end users on regulatory/economic capital enquires.
• Partner with Risk Reporting and other groups to meet Senior management and external ad-hoc request.
• Develop and maintain ad-hoc reports/analytics using specialized query / database tools - e.g., SAS, SQL, Python, Excel, PowerBI.
• Collaborate with Development and operations team to automate and deploy routine reports into production.
• Design, develop and implement efficient reporting process for both operational and ad-hoc reporting.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reports in line with the Bank's risk policies. Identify requirements to meet changing internal and external conditions.
• Performs verification and monitoring activities for all changes implemented in the production environments according to guidelines and policies.
• Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including product enhancements; Initiative areas can include intake, requirements, design, development, testing, simulation, signoffs, production, and post-implementation activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the Basel repositories and Credit Risk Reporting environment.
• Support data reconciliation efforts and explain variances between risk systems and Finance general ledger.
• Investigate and identify root cause of variances between risk systems and Finance general ledger, applying adjustments (manual/automated). Collaborate with Change Management team, Data Services to develop and implement short term tactical solutions and long-term strategic solutions to address data issues to eliminate the need for an adjustment.
• Support Lines of Business in investigations to explain changes in RWA and Economic Capital.
• Triage and resolve production issues affecting the reliability and quality of data. Manage issue resolutions affecting the reliability or quality of data provided to downstream users.
• Identify, measure, and analyze risks; provide insights that contribute to improved business and identify required improvements to all processes.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into data and reporting enhancement. Undertake other regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required (from either senior management or external bodies).
• Collaborate with Technology service providers and other stakeholders to investigate, perform root cause analysis and plan corrective actions; follows production environment support processes and guidelines.
• Documents data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes.
• Interpret regulatory data requests and respond to OSFI's Annual Self-Assessments (SAP), Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS), Global Systemically Important Banks Data Collections (GSIB) and other regulatory filings.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
• Typically, between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of risk system management concepts and applications.
• In-depth knowledge & experience with risk policy frameworks; quality control / testing frameworks.
• Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
• Capacity to cope with a high degree of ambiguity and change
• Data Oriented. Strong ability to interpret data with minimum guidance, ability to gather and understand information from stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
