We are seeking a Counterparty Analytics Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is Mark-to-Market (MtM) stress testing, ensuring robust risk measurement and scenario analysis for counterparty exposures. In addition, the Counterparty Analytics Specialist will contribute to a range of counterpart credit risk initiatives, including regulatory reviews, governance reporting, and strategic risk projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex risk topics to senior stakeholders.

- Overseeing collateral risk for Repo, Securities Borrowing/Lending, Prime Brokerage and OTC Derivatives
- Implement cutting-edge solutions to analyze and monitor credit policies and counterparty limits
- Ensuring strict adherence to OSFI's B2 Guideline and U.S. Single-Counterparty Credit Limits (SCCL)
- Committee and forum leadership by preparing meeting material and presenting on critical CCR management issues.

Key Responsibilities:
MtM Stress Testing and Risk Analysis
- Perform MtM stress testing to assess counterparty exposures under extreme market conditions.
- Develop and enhance stress scenarios aligned with internal risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
- Investigate drivers of credit exposure movements and communicate findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with credit writers and adjudicators to ensure they understand both specific counterparty vulnerabilities and broader exposure trends, enabling informed credit decision-making.
Regulatory Reviews & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with evolving CCR regulations.
- Collaborate with Risk Partners and industry groups on internal and external regulatory reviews.
- Prepare documentation and responses for regulatory inquiries and audits.
Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Committees and Governance
- Prepare reports and presentations for CCR committees, ensuring clear articulation of risk insights.
- Present key risk findings, stress test results, and portfolio trends to senior risk leadership.
- Contribute to the development of CCR policies, frameworks, and governance enhancements.
Strategic Delivery & CCR Initiatives
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on strategic delivery initiatives, supporting the integration of risk analytics and reporting enhancements.
- Work on CCR model enhancements, data automation, and technology projects to improve efficiency.
- Partner with IT, Project Management and Business stakeholders to drive risk infrastructure improvements.
Job Requirements
- Experience
- Minimum of 4 years in Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, Risk Analytics, or related financial risk discipline.
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of MtM exposure calculation for OTC derivatives and securities financing transactions (SFT), stress testing methodologies, and counterparty risk metrics (e.g. PFE).
- Familiarity with SA-CCR, FRTB and regulatory stress testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in Excel, Python or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Communication & Leadership
- Ability to present complex risk insights to senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset, with attention to detail.
Education and Accreditation
- Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- CFA and/or FRM would be considered an asset
