Provides subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of key processes related to product launch/support and investor experience for alternative investment products at BMO GAM.

Works across BMO to deliver specific business results in alignment with overall group goals.

Core accountabilities:
  • Help manage the investor subscription and redemptions process for all existing alternative investment products in conjunction with internal business partners and external vendors.
  • Key point of contact for back office, middle office, and dealer service teams.
  • Lead resolution for operational issues that otherwise impede successful investor and dealer adoption (including collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve, as required).
  • Resolves internal, complex or higher risk investor escalations or policy exceptions.
  • May include interactions with clients and sales.
  • Continuously improves processes to identify issues and deliver optimal investor experience.
  • Assist National Accounts team in obtaining necessary dealer approvals for new alternative investment product launches.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Support existing platform for issues arising with vendors and internal stakeholders on topics such as transfer agency, fund accounting and investment operations.
  • Oversee comprehensive competitive and industry analyses to support the development of all new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with market trends and company objectives.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendation.

Qualifications:
  • Typically, between 5-7 years of experience and post-secondary degree.
  • Ideally +3 years of directly relevant experience in Asset Management, Investment Product Management, Wealth Management Operations or Dealer Services roles.
  • Must be intellectually curious, particularly about asset management and alternative investments.
  • In depth verbal & written communication skills.
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth data driven decision-making.
Salary :

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
